You all know Pretty Mike, right? The Lagos socialite famous for his dramatic party entrances, eye-catching costumes, and love for making headlines. Well, reports say he’s back in the news — but this time, not for his flamboyant lifestyle.
According to official sources, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) carried out an early morning raid at Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, over an alleged illegal substance party.
In a statement released by the NDLEA, about 100 individuals, including the club’s owner Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening.
Witnesses say NDLEA officials reportedly attended the event undercover around 11 p.m., blending in with regular guests. By around 3 a.m., they identified themselves and abruptly disrupted the event.
During the operation, NDLEA officers allegedly found cartons of suspicious materials stored in the club, which led to several arrests. The agency confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine the level of involvement of those apprehended.
As of now, Pretty Mike and others remain under questioning while NDLEA continues its screening and evidence analysis. This development has sparked massive conversation online, with many Nigerians reacting to the shocking news.
Whether this turns out to be another social media buzz or a serious legal case, one thing is certain — Lagos nightlife just got a major shake-up.
